North Shore Glass Artist
I made this site to showcase my artwork to the world. I don't want to limit myself to one type of medium and I'm interested to see how my artwork will change over time. So far I Iike working with glass as well as painting and drawing. Everything is for sale and even after the last artwork is sold I will still have this site. Forever and ever.
ABOUT ME
My name is Kathryn Shields. I am currently living and working out of Thunder Bay in Northwestern Ontario on the shores of Lake Superior.
I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario and have been drawing and painting since elementary school. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful Aunt who taught me everything about painting. I have gotten into stained glass and hot glass more recently. I have no formal training for any of this just random classes that I have taken on the side since highschool.
I also love reading. Most of the inspiration for my artwork comes from nature or reading. I will most likely post quotations from authors that I find are relevant to my work.
Hopefully going to make something of this. Otherwise carry on.
